A previous Fox in 2006 was very tough to find.

This one was a little different.Instead of getting close and looking for the transmitting vehicle, all were searching for a hidden ammo can with an HT inside. This made things quite a bit more difficult as once you get close to this thing putting out 5 Watts, the signal is all around you.
If your interest, please join us for the next hunt to held on the Sunday following the general meeting.
Check back to see any changes.
The starting point will be SH183 & Story Rd.,parking lot northwest corner at approx. 1:30PM

Government Perspective of Communication Failures Not to Be Missed (click to read)

The article "Missed Signals" appears in this month's issue of "Government Executive Magazine." It should be required reading for anyone involved in emergency communications, but especially ARES leaders. We can't help solve the problems faced by our served agencies until we understand them. A Message of Thanks from President and Mrs. George Bush

"I send greetings to those celebrating the annual Field Day for Amateur Radio, hosted by the American Radio Relay League. Across our country, radio plays a vital role in relaying important information to the public and emergency service personnel in times of need. By providing emergency communications at the federal, state, and local level, licensed Amateur Radio operators help first responders and law enforcement officials save lives and make our country safer. Your efforts help ensure the right assistance gets to the right people at the right time. I appreciate all ham operators who give their time and energy to help make our citizens more secure. Your good work reflects the spirit of America and contributes to a culture of responsibility and citizenship that strengthens our nation.
Laura and I send our best wishes." -- President George W. Bush, June 22, 2005. Source: arrl.org
